Looking Back at the Show That Rocked the Stage—and Won Our Hearts

Throughout the 18 years that we published FLL, many different sponsorship requests came across my desk. We did some, but were always very thoughtful to ensure that any event we sponsored worked well with our mission statement. That is, “Will it be fun and will it be fine?”

Of all that we did, the one that always sticks in my mind is the local theater run of Green Day’s American Idiot in summer 2016. Every night throughout that run was as good – or better – than the previous performance. What a joy.
American Idiot’s cast was a truly talented bunch and many of them remain friends to this day. I was able to gather a few of them for a photo and to reminisce on the great run of the show. If you see any of these names and faces in a local production, be sure to buy a ticket. It promises to be a great night at the theater!
